I'll bite on this topic... I think that Creighton needs at least to get a better design... They have Creighton on the front of the jerseys and then a CU on the shorts ... we already know that it is Creighton... put a Bluejay on the side... I think that you keep it simple with the piping and nothing outlandish like Memphis... there are more stripes and things on that jersey then on some highways....

I'm glad someone else said it so I don't have to be the first.

That Missouri State logo looks like it was created by someone with no-design sense and a pencheant for overly serifed fonts. They thought a classic style font looked classy, but it really just looks boring.

Actually, I can't fault the designer themself because, in their defense, the logo looks like something that was probably committeed to death. Speaking from experience, no good designs come from committees.

A classy, yet classic style basketball jersey logo would be an arch like Creighton's and UNI's or an arch above the number, then straight below the number like WSU's.

I would take anything for MSU instead of what we have now. They are the most hideous uniforms I've ever seen. The bad thing is that they've adopted that font in nearly every sport when they did the name change.

I would like to see them use "MO State" and put it in any design like CU, UNI, or WSU. Anything but what we have now. You can even keep it as "Missouri State", just get a better design.

Nice. Make the stripes maroon, and I would actually go for that. SIU is wholly committed to selling the Floor Burn U./junkyard dawg defense/[enter description here] reputation. I think the jail stripes would be a nice touch.

By the way, what does the rest of the Valley think of the font used by SIU on their numbers? At first I hated it, but I am warming up to it more. You certainly cannot call that look "classic." I think a better description would be "third grade-esque."

I like them allright; they invoke "motion" in a trendy-style font. Look very similar to the Florida font.

The only problem is that, when you choose a design like that, you've got to make a committment to "revue" it every few years or so to make sure it isn't stale.

On the topic of new uniforms, I think overall the Valley looks very poor from top to bottom.

Uni's I like are:
Wichita State: not in love with em, they change every year though so we won't have to wait long for a change. Best logo in the Valley imo. Also like the secondary WSU wheat logo. Thank God the burger logo didn't stick for those that remember that.
Southern Illinois: Nice modern look but I don't like the stripes across the back and BUTTOCKS (won't let me say ***). Very recognizable logo. Overall very good.
Illinois State: Hard to mess up red and black and white. Nice look. Nice logo.
Bradley: Thier not bad, not great. The logo on the other hand.....
Drake: Like em. Nice font. Considering how old the old logo was I think they should have kept it or just updated it. I like the new logo though.

In need an overhaul:

Missouri State: Horrible font. the SMS of yesteryear wasn't much better. Not a big fan of the logo or the colors. Like the team though!
Creighton: Million dollar team, 10 dollar jersey's. They look very dated. Blue Jays is a very cool name, but they have utilized by far the worse use of it with "Jays" as thier logo. Huh?
Indiana State: Powder blue is very in right now. A modernized look of the Larry Bird era jersey's would be awesome imo. Get rid of black. I like the logo.
UNI: Very boring, looks like the concept was made in MS Paint in 5 minutes. Could use a makeover. Love the colors and love the logo.
Evansville: They aren't really bad. There's only so much you can do with the name "Aces" Purple and orange colors? That's pretty original and unique so I'm alright with em. I'm in bewtween on putting them in the "likes" category.

I've been looking for an Evansville sleeves pictures for years, I found one on thier athletics site! Sweet.

I kind of like your home white's. The roadies though....in my head I can picture Anthony Tolliver sweating his balls off (can't say ***, so there!) while wearing a blue Creighton jersey that has white stripes down the side and BLACK even though black isn't a school color and a blue undershirt that looks like it's been washed too many times and doesn't match the blue that's on the uniform. I don't know there's just something missing to me. Creighton is a 1st class team, they should look the part imo. And by that I mean when a freshman picks up his uniform for the first time he should think to himself, "sweet!" I just doubt that happens.

Mainly I hate when teams use black when they don't need to, see the Royals and the Mets. I'm quite happy that KC dropped those god awful black uniforms.

Did you know? Patrick Ewing petitioned the NBA to be able to wear a t-shirt (mis-matching I'm sure) but was unsuccessful early in his NBA career.

As far as Creighton's road uniforms, I would support the move to using grey or pewter kind of like the baseball uniforms. I'm sure they want blue for "Bluejays", but a little change would be cool.

I think the CU roadies are SWEET.. but, they'd be even better if they werent girls and wore those ridiculous over sized t shirts. I love our colors and maybe thats why I love the road uni's, that bright royal blue is cool I think. And dont take the DOC off the shorts.. I could do without the huge god awful MVC patch on the chest.


And btw, whoever said Bradleys road uniforms were awful was high.. :innocent:
