Also appears that BU could lose Jeremy Fears- unhappy apparently and may be "off" the team at this writing...

Is it true concerning Fears? I haven't seen anything in the Journal Star. He would be a big loss for the Braves. Any info you can give?
As of right now the Fears issue is a rumor with a STRONG source. The general feeling is he wants to play point and isn't a team guy like JL is demanding. What is making BU return to glory and what helped and undermanned team last year is TEAM play. I haven't seen a team so unselfish is years...its what helped the Sweet 16 team finally jell.
JL is committed to the 4 guard offense and it requires ball mvt.....period.
If he's a team guy we need him...if he isn't we are better off without him. He will have to transfer...sit out another year and have only one year left.....makes you wonder whats going on in his head IF this turns out to be true. He really has been saying all the right things and looked "into it" on the bench last year. Has stated he was excited and anxious to play.
Personally I'm MORE worried about JC.

Damn! If he didn't have bad luck, he would not have any luck at all.

He is expected to start shooting again (non-contact) in about 2 months.. He is not expected to miss any time.. I hate to see any kid get hurt but at least he should be ready once the season begins..

Crouch will be having surgery today or tomorrow, and all doctors have said he should have 100% recovery with no restrictions by the time practice stars in October. Looks like it's a month or 2 after surgery before he can resume conditioning and shooting drills. On the positive, it's his left shoulder (non-shooting), so it shouldn't affect his jumper at all. On the negative, this is 2 major injuries he's sustained in the last 6 months on freak plays. It looks like the only thing that can stop JC is injuries, so hopefully he can stay healthy. BU will only go as far as Ruffin and Crouch can take them.
