There is NO WAY they should be in!!!!

That's the biggest screw job I've seen in 35 years of following the Missouri Valley Conference. A&M? Air Force? UAB? MSU could take out all of 'em.
I'm really sorry for Bear fans. You took it up the wazoo today...
:ranting: :cursing: :banghead: :ranting: :cursing:
Littlepage and the comittee should be hung! Sorry MSU!!

Sorry to see that MSU got snubbed...I expected Creighton to get snubbed but not MSU. I feel for ya's...
I told myself I wouldn't get upset but when I see Air Farce, Mason and Utah St in there I can't help it...I'd have rather seen Maryland or Cinci in there than those 3 teams...

Air Force shouldn't be ahead of about a dozen teams right now.
If it was a Hofstra ahead of MSU, I wouldn't whine THAT much.....but if it's Utah St AND Air Force.....well.....that just ain't right.

Nothing is screwy. BCS garbage comes through.
I disagree with the BCS part of it. Missouri St wasnt snubbed because teams like FSU, Cincy, or Michigan made it, they were snubbed because 2 completely undeserving teams made it. Those being Air Force and Utah St.

So much for the RPI meaning anything at all. I'm still pissed and I don't even like SWOMO.

Missouri St. got screwed big time. No way, No how do Air Force and Utah State belong in there over the Bears (I would argue Wisconsin, Seton Hall and Alabama as well).

Two points:
1. Amazing: The committee does not show BCS bias, except for Seton Hall, but screws deserving mid-majors in favor of undeserving mid-majors.
2. Creighton was screwed just as bad as MoSt. Consider:
Creighton's 6 Top 50 wins, 12 top 50 games. MoSt 4 Top 50 wins in 12 games. Creighton scores more points in head-to-head with MoSt. Creighton's record with starting pg, who is back now, was 17-5.

CU was more deserving than the likes of AFA and Utah St., but I don't think you were hosed as bad as the Bears were.

UW Milwaukee gets an 11 seed. So MSU, that thumped them at UWM, is at least 10-15 schools behind them?
Someone needs to explain that to this Valley fan. My sympathies to Barry and all the Missouri State family.

What? K-State's at the door?
Right this way, Mr. Wildcat. Come get 'im.
Unbelieveable! An RPI of 21 and Air Farce gets in instead.
The committee totally screwed Missouri State!!!!!

MoSt screwed worse than Creighton? Only if you go completely by RPI. It is obvious the committee did not consider head-to-head games or player availability.
For example, Mason gets in over Hofstra despite losing to them twice in the last two weeks. Mason will have starting player out. Creighton will have starting player back. Creighton beat Mason by 20 at their place. Creighton beat Mason, Xavier, and Nebraska OOC, while MoSt's only good win was @Milwaukee. No way is Milwaukee an 11 seed if MoSt is out.
Air Force lost to a fricking losing record team in the quarterfinals of the tournament of a weak conference.
CU and MoSt both screwed, no way they should not be in but Seton Hall, Air Force and UT St. should.

I think most CU fans will agree MO St. deserved to get in before the Jays. We had our chances and it didn't work out.
But MSU took one in the shorts here. I'm just beside myself. Besides the obvious teams (Air Farce & Utah St.) I think they deserved in even before Bradley (don't take that wrong Brave fans...not dissing your team).

A pretty crappy deal for the Bars.
When Packer and Nance asked Littlepage to justify the Air Force selection, Littlepage sounded like he had a mouth full of marbles (or fecal matter).
I feel for the Bars. A crappy deal, indeed.

anybody realize how close we were to being a THREE-bid league?
if Bradley is a 13 seed, either the braves or air force were the last team in.
amazing.

We crashed the BCS/Digger party, security was lax and they caught the last guy in. We now have to become party animals. Regrets to MO State.

Nothing is screwy. BCS garbage comes through.
Well, it wasn't a BCS team that kept them out. I think it was more of a "how many teams from the Valley is enough" factor. Glad to see the WAC and the MWC earning multiple bids, but NOT at the expense of MSU!
I feel for you guys! Let's hope you show up the comittee by winning the NIT! :bears: :valley:

Bradley fan- I think that is exactly what happened.
I think some of those commitee members thought to themselves, "how can we give the Valley five teams and only give the WAC and MWC one bid."
We have to give these other guys at least two before we can even consider giving the Valley 5 or 6 bids.
There isn't much else that makes sense to explain how Air Force got a bid over any of the other bubble teams, let alone Missouri St.
It is also obvious that BU was one of the very last teams in (from their 13th seed).:valley:

I agree with Bradley fan. I think the main thing was that no way, no how can the MVC have more teams in than the ACC, which used to be the best basketball conference in the country, or the Not-So-Big XII. With that being the mindset the MVC was capped at 4 teams at the most. In fact, I'm sure the committee is patting themselves on the back by "letting" the MVC have 4 bids. See how open and fair minded they have been! 4 teams from a middling conference that just happened to play the RPI game by our rules.
My regrets to the MSU fans! On the other hand, great job by the Lady Bears to steal an NCAA bid with a great run in the MVC Tournament.
Good luck to CU and MSU in the NIT. Most of us will be rooting for you.
The MVC should still hold their heads high with 6 of 10 members in post-season play. Who know maybe InSU will get a NIT invitation if the only look at InSU with David Moss games.

MSU should send John Q. out with some bag money for Littlepage next season. That appears to be the only way they will get in. They sure can't do it following the rules.

Think to remember is that it just happened to have MSU but it could happen to any Valley team any year. They are only going to let us have so much.
