I'll update this later tonight with the rest of the committee members info. I feel sick, I can't believe it. I'm sure I'll wake up soon.

You want to work against the NCAA? Don't write emails--don't go to the NIT game. Every NIT game goes right into the NCAA's pocket.

Dumb suggestion... Boycotting your team only hurts your players, the NCAA doesn't care. The best thing Creighton fans can do is pack the Qwest, where we are 14-1 this year, and get to MSG.

Well, then, you line right up there for tickets, Sparky. The NCAA will take your money with a smile.
I'm not saying that it's an easy decision, but it's certainly a decision to be made.

The decision is an easy one. Support your team.

I think the best thing that the Valley can do to prove this wrong is by having both MSU and CU run deep in the NIT, and by deep, I mean both playing at the Garden. Sadly, they are probably going to be put in the same region because they are so close together geographically.

You assume that anyone cares one iota about the NIT. Your assumption is wrong.

If nothing else, more practice, more ESPN games, more east coast exposure.

Nothing wrong with the NIT if you can get some home games. It is better than being at home. Still MSU and CU were screwed over letting some other teams Air Force and UAB. I think Seton Hall got in because of the Beg East connection.

I'm not saying I'm pleased with being in the NIT, but I will go and support the Jays.
Besides, going deep in the NIT could show people that the Valley got screwed over.

Please post the time of CUs NIT game when it is released.
I doubt if I can go to Greensboro to watch the Shox play, but going to Omaha to root on the Jays could be a very doable trip for me.:valley:

Actually, I have thought about this for a second...what is one big reason you see schools like Kentucky, Arizona, etc. make it when they are down? One big reason is they draw big and make the NCAA a lot of money by ticket sales, ad revenues, etc.. If you can make lot of money in the NIT for the NCAA, it might help in the future.

It's a catch 22 with the NIT. If you got humped like MSU you'd hate to give the NCAA more money but you also want to support your team. There is nothing wrong with the NIT in fact it gives you a chance to go out and prove what tards the NCAA selection committie are and you may just get to see your fave seniors do battle a few more times. No one wants to be in the NIT but it's still good basket ball, it's worth supporting your team and it's worth doing well in for revenue, exposure, recruiting and to prove the NCAA wrong.

You would be wrong about boycotting your own team in an NIT game.
My suggestion is go to the game, and make the most out of the opportunity to help your teams (Bears and Jays) beat down whichever team you end up facing.
Stanford or Virginia? It doesn't matter for the Bears. You've got them on your own court. I hope you can finish what the Shockers couldn't against Florida State.
Temple or Akron? I'd prefer to see Temple come to Qwest for the Jays. Especially after hearing all of that elitist A-10 talk that invaded our boards in recent weeks.
Take out any frustration you have over the process on these teams. If I could, I would drag my 45-year old carcass to either place and show you guys how it's done. Obviously (and admittedly), WSU has lots of recent experience to draw from.

I'm not boycotting anything. "Boycotting" would assume that I would think about going to a game in the first place, and both geography and real life mean that it's not even an option. But simultaneously complaining about how unfair the NCAA is and giving them your money as a reward for being so is incongruous.

So make some signs to wave around. You've got a bold sign guy who doesn't hesitate in writing the collective thoughts of Bear fans.
