I'll be preparing a nicely worded letter demanding they remove those morons from their jobs.

I could care less what some intern at CBS thinks when he reads the complaints we send in. I'm advocating taking it to the next level: The Network's sponsors. Tell them you won't be watching CBS anymore or buying any products advertised on the channel when you do watch it during the tournament.

If you're mad then show it to the people who matter most to CBS:The sponsors! Otherwise we have little reason to complain. Kind of like the "don't complain if you don't vote" maxim. Peace and Unity until next season. :original:

I wouldn't go that far, Seth Davis and Clark Kellogg have been very complimentary to the Valley.

It is just those other two bozos that need to go (Packer and Nantz).

CBS did put our conference championship on national TV and I hope they start putting some of our regular season games on TV again.:valley:

Displaced anger isn't going to do anything. They weren't the ones that selected the teams. Just because you don't agree with their opinions doesn't mean that they should be fired.

the following letter is a copy of what I have sent to the editors of the STL Post Dispatch, The Southern Illinoian, The Chicago Tribune, USA Today, The Indianapolis Star, The Kansas City Star, The Des Moines Register, The Evansville Courier and Press, and the New York Times, I will consider it a success if it is printed in one...

Dear Editor,
I am a concerned fan of the MVC, and I was disgusted by the team of analysts on the CBS selection show for the men's tournament. I find it greatly disrespectfull the way that big analysts like Jim Nantz, Billy Packer, and Digger Phelps use thier national status as a launching platform to bash and disrespect so called "mid-major" conferences like the MVC. Their biased opinions use the same statistics to praise the "Power" conferences, yet also to attempt to lower others. Such as the argument they used concerning UNI, that their early non-conference games shouldn't carry any weight, but that the same stat should help the larger schools. I think everyone that is a MVC fan as well as a fan of any "mid-major" conference should voice their opinion directly to CBS, ESPN, and potentially any sponsors of their programming. If these power conferences are truly not scared of the MVC teams, let them schedule them fairly instead of just insisting that the MVC teams only play them at their place.

Shocker3, it's a way of letting CBS know what we think of Nantz and Packer, not Davis and Kellogg. During the MVC championship game we didn't get much love as a conference either.

Sheev, "just because" we don't agree with their opinions doesn't mean we have to listen to them bad mouth us. Whether it is displaced anger, which I don't think it is, or not we still have the right to voice our opinion. With a few exceptions I am not upset with the selection committee overall. The way Packer and Nantz acted on the selection show was appalling. It's all a matter of opinion and that is my opinion. GO VALLEY!!!

P.S.-Without going on a misplaced patriotic rant we are Americans and when we get pissed we are entitled to let the offending party know. That may sound over the top but what the hell? :original:

When those two morons cut off Littlepage not once but TWICE I felt like I was about to lose it! Trying to make that argument about previous success/failures of the conferences...sheesh! I'm glad Littlepage discredited that argument, even though they kept on with it after he said it didn't count! C'mon CBS, you can find two guys to do a better job than that!

I would agree with the sponsor thing. If the Sponsors are unhappy, they can exert a lot of pressure. I agree with the not buying any products shown on CBS thing because that's the easiest way. Now, 1 or 2 letters won't do anything...not even 15-20...but get into the hundreds or thousands and now you're talking. That's big time.

It has been said that people who have negative experiences share it with about 18-20 people while only sharing good experiences with 2-3 people (rough estimates on numbers), but if you also include that you will be telling all your family and friends to boycott the products, "threatening" with negative press from yourself could also help.
