I know you probly dont care but I am so sick right now and I want to get this off my chest.
The Missouri State Bears Should have been in for many reasons.

First They lost only one game to a team not in the tourny (Creighton who was also a bubble team)

They had an RPI of 21 the highest to ever not make the tourny. (The Bears also have the 3rd highest not to make it at 33 in 1999)

UW-MIL allthough they are an auto-bid they got an 11 seed the Bradley Braves who are in the VALLEY got a 13 seed. The Braves were ahead of the Bears in the pecking order (according to the most projectons) and the MO ST Bears beat UW-MIL in the Bracket buster at UW-MIL. UW-MIL rpi is is 52 and they get an 11 seed ya right.

Air Force RPI 51 They did not beat a single top 50 rpi team. The bears beat 4. The Bears also never lost to a team below 50 in the RPI. Air force lost to to in the top 100 and 3 in the top 150.

Utah State won one game aginst top 50 teams. lost 3 to top 100 and 3 to top 150.

As much as the slection commetie says they dont look at what confrences teams are in they left out the Bears because they dont want the Valley haveing 5 teams in with the ACC and Big XII only geting 4.

IMO the Bears and the Valley got slaped in the face for what they have done this season. It was a Banner year for the confrence and for the NCAA to do this to them shows how much the BIG Six run every thing.

Go VALLEY show em whats up. :valley:

I think a 21 RPI would do it... MSU got hosed, hands down hosed.

Basically, they just said the RPI is worthless. I can see an argument with a 35 rpi with schedule, etc. Not a 21.

Basically...the NCAA is trying to cover their *** and THEY SET THE RULES. If they can't follow them then .....Up theirs (from a diehard Saluki)

I will never again think the RPI is of any importantance, if it ever was.

I will now and forever take the RPI with a grain of salt. I couldn't believe MSU was left out for the likes of Air Force! May the Bears kick some serious tail in the NIT!!!
