-Absolutely floored. That’s about the only way this person could describe his feelings when watching the revealing of the brackets for the NCAA Tournament.

The feeling set in pretty quickly, as soon as we saw that California was grossly overrated with a 7 seed, while a Southern Illinois team with an equal or better season than the Golden Bears was an 11 seed. And it didn’t go away, only getting worse as we watched the Missouri Valley get rear-ended, conferences like the Pac-10 get extra credit apparently for UCLA’s titles in the Wooden era or something, and a team with one top 100 win all season (Montana) get a seed that suggests they would’ve been an at-large selection had they not won their conference tourney.

Great analysis. But, someone is going to disagree with the 35 at large teams he selects, too.

brought up some real good points. I would have been happier with 4 bids if the seeds were better

I think I wrote this article. I agree with him to a T.
His seeding arguments are fantastic. How the fock MONTANA got a 12 seed is beyond me. This is NOT cattleroping, it is BASKETBALL... the Pac-10 is a phony, overhyped league that may not get 1 team beyond the 2nd round.

Let's go CAA. Let's go Valley.

I always thought the Valley would get jobbed this year. Am very suprised at the poor overall job from this year's selection committee, seeding as well as bids. Seeding definitely benefited the marginal big conference teams. Looks like a conspiracy setup against midmajors. Hopefully the midmajors rise up and bite the big boys, otherwise its going to be a long tourney for us midmajor fans. :valley: :valley: :valley:
