more than anything we need Gonzaga, George Washington, and Memphis to win their tournaments... if not it just means more bids for those conferences and less for ours...

With Pops Mensah-Bonsu out of the picture now, I think George Washington could get knocked off in Cincinnati. Still, the A-10 gets no more than 2 bids. CUSA will get no more than 2 as well, I think. Memphis has a big Thursday night game at UAB. A win could put the Blazers closer to the bubble, but the Tigers could have their seeding wrecked if they lose at UAB, then fall at home in the CUSA tournament next week. My guess is they'll be determined not to fritter away a possible 1 or 2 seed. Gonzaga rolled through the West Coast Conference record-wise, but the Bulldogs haven't blown people away at home like you'd expect, and they host the WCC tournament this year. It wouldn't surprise me to see their homecourt winning streak end this weekend, but I have no idea who the likely team would be. Aside from Gonzaga, the WCC has been very balanced this year.

Here is an article that explain why Pops might not be as important to GW as most people think. its about 1/4 down the page.
