Of course...???
The majority of the Shocker Nation feels that the program hasn't skipped a beat.
When Turgeon bailed there was a bit of anger (especially from me) because Wichita State isn't the kind of program most coaches would bail from.. however, when Marshall was announced as Turgeon's successor, the mood immediately lifted. We all knew that we wouldn't be hiring an unproven commodity, but we're more than thankful to learn that we hired not only a proven winner but a young coach poised for a BCS-type job. Well, he got his BCS-type job, just not in a BCS conference!!:clap::clap::shockers::shockers::shockers:
It's a great day!

Congrats to the Shocker faithful for continuing to sell out. The program appears to be in good hands and now all you need to do is get some consistency with Tournament appearances. Up and down performances may not alter the Shocker crowds, but it won't get you any love on ValleyTalk.
I only wish the Salukis could sell out every game. I also wish we had the fan base to draw from which we will never have.

absolutely correct...WSU fans' hearts collectively skipped a beat the year before after nearly reaching the Elite 8, and expect the Shockers to get back on track after last year.
Fixed - with enthusiasm.

Wow.
The roundhouse has always been tough. This will just intensify the home court advantage. Nice job by the PR people.

How would you know? Most shucker fans have never seen the inside of a high school.
Actually, after doing some research, the average Shocker fan spends 6.4 years in high school, so they see the inside of a high school more than most.

You're exactly right. Most of us are so superiorly intelligent that we skip high school and go straight to college.
Now, is the high school-like team as much of a deterrent to season ticket sales as is the high school-like facility?

I don't know why but I feel like responding "More Cow Bells" because maybe we could get McBulldog and Dawg Tired to work together (kind of like a choir, in "two part harmony" to use Country Joe's phrase).

A man who just died is delivered to a Wichita mortuary wearing an expensive, expertly tailored blue suit. Bubba the mortician asks the deceased's wife how she would like the body dressed.
He points out that the man does look very good in the blue suit he is already wearing.
The widow however, says that she always thought her husband looked his best in Shocker gold and black, and that she wants him in a gold and black suit. She gives Bubba a blank check and says, "I don't care what it costs, but please have my husband in a gold and black suit for the viewing."
The woman returns the next day for the viewing. To her delight she finds her husband dressed in a gorgeous gold and black suit with a subtle chalk stripe; the suit fits him perfectly. She says to Bubba, "Whatever the cost, I'm very satisfied. You did an excellent job and I'm very grateful. How much did you spend?"
To her astonishment, Bubba presents her with the blank check. "Dere's no charge," he says.
"No, really, I must pay you for the cost of that exquisite gold and black suit!" she says.
"Honestly, ma'am," Bubba says, "it didn't cost me a thing. You see, a deceased gentleman of about your husband's size was brought in shortly after you left yesterday, and he was wearing an attractive gold and black suit. I asked his missus if she minded him going to his grave wearing a blue suit instead, and she said it made no difference as long as he looked nice."
"So, I just switched the heads."

Actually I just read the article linked through the Bradley site. Congrats to WSU! That's really does say a ton for the Shocker support in Wichita.
Question, on the Shocker site where season tickets holders can sell unused tickets, do they have to be at face value?
Other than that .. you can all still kiss my a-$-$.

yes. but WSU will charge a couple of extra bucks for other fees to whoever buys them.
Technically, season tickets at Koch cost the same no matter where you sit. I could look it up, but I'm thinking it's around $220 per seat.
Now, where you sit is determined by how much you donate to SASO (Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization)
There's one small section where people can buy season tickets without donating to SASO, but it's been shrinking every year.
Minimum donation to SASO is around $160 a year, IIRC. It goes up from there, obviously. For the lower level seats, you're looking at around $10K a year donation at the very least.

had the pleasure of sitting courtside last year. Took my dad to the game against SIU and spent 40 bucks or so on the tickets. We felt regal to say the least haha
