Basketball Without Borders is an NBA project to evaluate international talent.
Ehimen Orupke was selected as 1 of 100 African players to participate in the NBA's September camp in Africa. Orupke was selected as 1 of 20 players to play in the All-Star game from the players there.

It's considered 50-50 that Orupke will arrive in Wichita in time to enroll in October classes and be eligible first semester. He will probably not play this season.
Marshall has said he will continue recruiting Nigerian players. WSU's DoBO is a Nigerian national. 9 of 20 players on the African All-Star team were Nigerian.
Getting players physically out of Nigeria is tough. Last I heard there was a former government official who had $30 million of oil money he couldn't let the Nigerian government know about. If Marshall could just provide a bank account where the former Nigerian official could deposit the money, that guy would pull some strings with his friends still in government and get all the paperwork in order to let Orupke leave the country.
