Recv'd my notice to order in the mail on Saturday for $27.90. I looked at their website tonight and it's for $21.95 (plus shipping) ... went to check out and it said "free shipping". Kind of strange.
Still, like I showed DUBulldog years ago, it is by far the best resource for college basketball information.
Can't wait to see what they write about Dana and his relationship with Nowakowski and the Arkansas fiasco.:Jumpy:

I guess that explains why I have every edition going back to 1985, and you've got every one all the way back to 2006.
But, you are right....it is by far the best.

Right now, it is not clear if Ehimen Orukpe (7'0", 220 lb., 12ppg, 9rpg, Quote fron ShockerNet: "On the Liberty forum, he is reported to 'run like a deer' and is a 'dunkin machine' ") will or will not play for WSU this year. While we hope the INS or State Department gets the paperwork done so he can begin classes in October, I don't think WSU fans know his current status.
If the Blue Ribbon Yearbook is "by far the best", how do they deal with this type of uncertainty? Of course, the later a rag comes out, the more certain is their information.

Aargh

A bit of background before I reveal what I invented back in the late '60's.
I was a PG and played a lot of pickup games at WSU. The only defender I couldn't beat on a drive into the lane was a guy going for his Masters who had been All-Valley the year before.
I invented the PG driving past his defender, getting into the lane and then trying to figure out what to do next. That typically resulted in increasing my TO numbers.
This move has been duplicated by many Valley PG's for about 40 years - with similar results to my own.

Actually, I've browsed that saluki website- boring! I've read Shockernet, it's realy funny- you can literally feel the entire Shocker nation going on suicide after any Shocker loss. Creighton's website is alright, but not enough people post. Of the three, by far the worst is Saluki Talk.
Three most popular topics on Saluki Talk:
1. Valleytalk sucks because they don't all bow down to us and some people have the audacity to make fun of us!
2. The salukis are really good, aren't they guys!
3. Boy that Valleytalk sucks!

I missed the troll comment, but I reread the thread and found it. God, I kinda feel bad being called a troll. That hurts. Really, I mean deep down inside, I feel this searing pain. Almost like a part of me has died. I have never been so hurt in my life. If I only watched Star Trek or something, maybe then I could navigate cyberspace without being called such vicious names.
I'm a troll. Is there like a 12 step program for being a troll? Really, I'll do anything, even an inhouse program or gene therapy. Anything.
Anyway, I would really love to talk basketball, but I think there are too many unanswered questons to have any in depth analysis about any team. Maybe that is why I haven't commented much on this thread and have been a frequent visitor (gag) to the baseball forum. Everybody seems to have potential, but so many kids graduated and with so many new coaches, I don't know where to start or what team to pick first. It's all a crapshoot this year and you don't see a lot of bold predictions. I think I'll wait for the Blue Ribbon Yearbook to come out, then I'll form some opinions; the Blue Ribbon Yearbook is the best!
Meanwhile, I'll sit here lamenting over the fact that I was called a troll.
Did McBull say he slept with my mom? That effin' troll!

Actually, that depends on what your defenition of off topic is. If you think someone claiming to have written every edition since '83 is off topic you are right. However, that claim is based on writing the Blue Ribbon Yearbook, IMO, still on topic. If you think that is where it went astray, then you must consider DU's self-riteous claims in post #2.
Personally, I think it went off topic when cdizzle claimed his grandpa invented jeans, that would be post #6, not #5.

I was merely pointing out that your reply had nothing to do with the Blue Ribbon Yearbook. It was your selfish, and underhanded attempt to discredit a fine and upstanding poster such as McBulldog, an honest and righteous man I might add, that I was citing as a possible source for the derailment. The big news this month is, of course, the 27th edition of Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook has at last been completed. I literally just sent the last piece of copy as I write this on the morning of Sept. 22. The book will go to press Sept. 24, and if all goes well, will ship in early October....
It should hit the Des Moines trailers mid October. Skirting and plywood at an all time high is forecast for the bulldogs.
