Yeah, SIU has been notorious for getting owned in Arch Madness by CU. Not very good memories haha, especially that one blowout in Korvers/Kent William's senior years.

I remember ESPN's Sports Guy had a revange ratings article, where he went from 0.0 to 10.0
0.0 was rocky in rocky v, because the movie never happened, thus being disqualified
10.0 being Keyser Soze's in Usual Suspects...
I have thought about this game a lot...as much as I would like to treat it like Rocky V, Godfather III, or Club Dread, the revenge factor was too great
After an emotional loss of having to hear "Korver swallows", Kent Williams doing a cheap shot against a BJ player, causing the BJ player to retaliate, and getting a "T" called on the BJ player, the nail of the coffin havin Williams shoot that 3 over Korver, losing conference championship, and having those d-bags talk crap Korver's parents after the game.......and then coming into St Louis, and shutting up us Saluki fans...I have never seen saluki fans so quiet in my life...that revenge factor has to be in the 9's somewhere
bravo cu, bravo...now excuse me while I throw up the Little caesars i was eating :puke:

Why So Quiet?

That dog "walks and talks" high-major. Tell me, is it a Pit Bull or a German Shepherd? Must be a new breed of one of those lines as it looks a little thin but we have been assured that it is just as vicious as a Pit or a Shepherd so we have no choice but to blindly believe it. Nevertheless, it surely strikes fear in the hearts of all who lay eyes upon it.

A strapping young lad now, nearly 3 years old, he can count to 10, sing his ABC's and has every car in the collection from the Disney movie "Cars". He loves Thomas the Train and asks to watch the Aloha from Hawaii Elvis Presley concert from 1972 after his bath.
We are now in the "Why Daddy?" stage. He drills so deep into the why's of the world that I have to explain photosynthesis and the origins of the solar system on a regular basis.
Thanks for asking, McB. That's just the tip of the iceburg, as you can well imagine. My little baby is now a little boy. It's going so fast. I am looking forward to our first trip to the MVC Tourney someday.

Cute kid!
Strap his right arm behind his back and start teaching him a left handed fast ball, get him started early :)
all joking aside, 3 year olds are a blast. When they transition from "Why daddy?" to "I dont like the answer I am getting from you so i am going to mommy" you lose some of that innocence that 3 year olds display. roll with it now, you dont have alot of time.
Currently my 7 year old is bugging me to get her signed up for softball next year because she watches me play in my league.

I have 7, 5, 3 and 1 year-old sons. And a 14-year-old daughter. Boys are more fun and wayyyyyyy easier.
Just a little funny thing that happened this summer. The Monday a week after Memorial Day, my wife and I took the family to Adventureland for a day. A week before that, my 5-year old was at a birthday party at the Amazing Pizza Machine. Both the Amazing Pizza Machine and Adventureland have this kiddie ride called the Frog Hopper. Anyway, we were heading east on I-80 and I'm listening to my 7 (Josh) and 5 year-old (Aaron) talk. Josh asked Aaron if he rode the Frog Hopper when he was at the party. Aaron answered no. So Josh asked "Why not?" Aaron answered, "I was saving it for Adventureland" At which point, Josh, being the dickheadish older brother, retorted, "No, it's because you're a p-u-s-s-y!" My wife was outraged by the languge. I was red in the face trying not to laugh out loud! Internally, I was laughing my arse off! My wife made me explain that this was a vulgar term and boys shouldn't talk this way. I got through the talk, but it was awfully hard to do with a straight face.

Ah, those unforgettable moments. My wife inadvertantly taught my nearly 3-year-old to say "the s-word" followed by my name. I announced right then that she was on the 'bad word scoreboard' and was leading 1-0. I suspect I may tie the score someday, but I didn't ring the bell first.
