Clevin Hannah committed to the WSU Shockers today after visiting over the weekend.

He is a point guard at Chipola (FLA) College this year. He played last year at Paris Junior College before transferring to Chipola.

He is a former teammate of Ramon Clemente who is playing for the Shockers this year.

High School:
Quote:
Hannah, who averaged 19 points, nine assists and three steals per game, was named to the 2006 All-State team. He scored 37 points in the state semifinals against Ripley and led the Mississippi high school All-Stars to victory over Alabama’s All-Stars.

Paris JuCo:
Quote:
was an honorable mention on the All-Region Team. Hannah, a 6-0 guard, averaged 10.8 points per game, hit 39 percent of his three-pointers, and handed out 127 assists (over four per game) to rank fifth in that department in the conference.

This is a good recruitment for the Shockers.

Only the Doggie recruits are extra, extra good. The Doggie '08 class is rated 16.5 in the nation.

Recruits of other valley teams are very average to very bad.

I heard that the recruiting services were, in fact, putting together their "Top 17" as we speak. It will be released next week.

Despite some accuracy to the comment, was it really called for?

Oh heck, I thought Clevin was a volleyball player...or a bowler.

Just how many stars does this particular recruit have behind his name on Rivals?

Is he related to Chipola alum Stephan Hannah who chose Missouri over Il St. last year?

Actually, I thought it was kind of funny. I expect that to change under Marty. Then we will see whose laughing.

Unfortunately, I think we all know that the source of the laughter won't change with regards to Evansville for the forseeable future. Especially now that SIU is pulling in a class ranked in the "Top 16.5" in the nation...

I think so but I am not certain.

His coach was quite complimentary of his game this morning.

He commented that Clevin was much further along in his developement than was Stephan. I have no idea how strong a player Stephan is or is not.

Stefan was amazing at times last year for Mizzou, in his first season of D-1. If Clevin is further along, that bodes very well for the Shox.
