View Full Version : Waltman back as head coach
The Terre Haute paper is reporting that former ISU coach Royce Waltman, let go after last season, is back leading his old team after the coach there stepped down. Sounds a little like the Sycamore football situation... without all the losing.

Good for Royce. He always seemed like a class act and the way he was notified about his termination was pretty crappy.
[Note - I never said that he shouldn't have been terminated, just that the way it was handled was pretty poor.]

I am glad that Coach Waltman is back as head coach at Indianapolis. That shcool would do well to make him their permanent coach.
I thought he did a very good job at ISU for what he had to work with. From the outside looking in, it seems to me that he was underappreciated and certianly not treated well by administration.

I think that it goes both ways. I don't think he respected the administartion very much to begin with.
