its that time of year. 2k8 is supposed to be out soon, or is already out... i go to best buy and they don't have it, walmart says they had it but are out right now, and gamestop wants to put me on a waiting list.
does anyone have it yet? and i'm looking at upgrading from my old ps2 to either a ps3 or xbox360... anyone have any recommendation? this is the only game i play, other than grand theft auto, of course.
my buddy was telling me that his 360 version of 2k7 had the postseason nit available, can anyone verify? it pisses me off that 2k would issue different versions...

The PS2 has the NIT in it as well. But once again, the PS2 version gets screwed. They fixed a lot of problems from last year but there are still a lot of bugs. I would choose a 360 just because it is cheaper

I got the 360 version and there is still a lot of bugs in it. plus they really screwed some teams and players in the Valley. After the bugs and getting over the fact that the Valley sucks on there, its a pretty good game. they have a feature called 2k share which you can go and download files other people have made, like the complete college rosters. thats pretty cool.

Yes, I've noticed a couple huge bugs with this game, A couple times I've won the valley post-season tournament, and didn't get a NCAA bid or even an NIT.

That would explain a lot.

I just got done playing 2K7 on the 360, its addicting, and its a really good game. I haven't noticed any bugs, I haven't gotten screwed out of the NCAA Tourney or anything. I would suggest the 360 though, it sounds like Playstation screws the game up.
Also, if you start a legacy as a coach, kick the difficulty up a knotch, cause I'm at Florida St. now, and I kill everyone I play, I'm planning on having somewhat of a challenge for this year's game.

I hate how they always screw up the player ratings for the valley. Like Levi Dyer is only a 69, it's ridiculous. In past games if you try to simulate, the other valley teams will go under .500 in non-con play and only 1 team will make it to the tourney. There is never an at-large bid for the valley. Which is so untrue to real life because we're easily a 3 bid league.

Ha! Actually no, I was in career mode, and was Drake, and then later as WSU. Probably wouldn't have bugged me as much if I was at MSU:innocent:
This is on the 360 platform. And another bug I noticed in career mode was that coaches started to be cloned. I mean at one point there were multiple D. Altmans coaching around the country in the game, and some more assistants D. Altmans at other schools.
That said I still think it is the best game-play b-ball game out there.

Come on, we all know basketball didn't really take the video game world by storm until the great "Double Dribble"
