View Full Version : Drake vs Chicago St

Drake and Chicago St tip off at about 7:30 in the second game of another Drake tournament. Jackson St and Texas-Pan American play in the other game. Chicago St is 1-7. Illinois St blew them away earlier in the season, and I expect Drake to do the same. Chicago St has a couple of high scoring guards, so their backcourt should at least be interesting thing to watch.

Keep it up Bulldogs. I like the blowout win(s). That is what a good team does to teams like Chicago State.

Jesus, this had to be the ugliest 30 point win I've ever seen. I kept on expecting us to find a way to blow that 7 point lead we had for half the game (like we would have 2 years ago) and then Klayton suddenly hits two threes to start a 19-2 run and we end up with a blowout. I keep on expecting the old Bulldogs to show up, but maybe I can stop that now since this is a lot more fun.
Go DU!!!

Gotta agree....that was fugly. Drake came out and sleepwalked through most of the game. Definitely not one of the Bulldogs' better efforts. Way too many careless turnovers, subpar shooting and lackluster effort. Didn't help that the 2 CSU guards couldn't miss for about 10 minutes midway through the game.
I guess it's a sign of progress when every Drake fan I talked to was really disappointed in the performance, and it was still a 30 point victory.
And, finally......I really, really hope those guys weren't MVC officials. Holy shat, they were bad (both ways).

Ugh, no kidding, I kept on trying to think of their worst screwup call for my earlier post, and then dropped it after I realized that they must have had at least ten awful ones:cursing:.

From one long-time Drake fan to another, I ask this: Why? You should embrace it. There is plenty of room on the Drake bandwagon for everyone, even pasty white, shirtless homos* in bad hats.
I'm just wondering where the guy on the left got those nut-huggers, they look fabulous!:lol::lol:

Why are you bringing out the "You almost" card? Especially when everyone knows that you DID streak the Savvis Center. Here is the article:
Man with Small Penis Streaks at Arch Madness.
Wednesday, March 14, 2001
By Dick Gosinya, Special Corrospondent for the St. Louis Dispatch
Play in games are usually ho-hum affairs. That is, until this year. With Evansville, a perrennial play-in team, facing another Valley bottom dweller Drake, the sparce and quiet crowd at the Savvis Center suddenly erupted in what must have sounded to those in the concourses, as a huge play in a huge game. It wasn't. Instead, for a moment, the boring game took second stage for one of the most underwhelming and disqusting displays of of human prowess, or lack thereof.
With less than five minutes remaining in the game, tied at 12, a Drake fan, clad only in a bandana covering his eyes, a pair of arseless chaps and roper boots, ran onto the court exposing his shame. The streaker, who had the name DU Bulldog painted on his back, sprinted up and down the court, exposing himself for all to see. And see we did. What appeared to be the smallest penis in the history of the world, was on display for all. The crowd roared!
The streaker didn't seem at all embarrassed as the Savvis Center security staff refused to take action. When asked to remove the streaker from the arena, Savvis Security Guard Harry Balls was heard stating to his boss, "I'm not touching that freak!" In fact, none of the security force would get anywhere near the man. After five minutes, the masked marauder ran out of the arena, under the east tunnel.
The game continued, but nobody seemed to care about the two lightweights, with Evansville eventually squeeking out a 21-19 victory.
With the game over, Savvis PR executive Patsy Smith gave an official reponse: "We at the Savvis Center are deeply embarrassed about the events which took place during today's first play-in game. We would like everyone to know that security will be beefed up to prevent the unmentioned events from happening again. In addition to the 36 security guards and police officers that normally work the event, we are adding an addition six special security agents for future games involving Drake. These agents will all be fat, ugly chicks, who go crazy over any penises, even disturbingly small ones."
Smith refused further comment, but upon leaving the podium, was heard mumbling, "God that was a little dick."
