Drake is having a great OOC run. I've been amazed by Keno. Usually a coaches son with no experience is a questionable hire. My initial thought was that if Dr. Tom couldn't get it done, what chance did a new D1 coach have.

Keno's performance this far has definitely justified the hire.

2 years ago InSt ran the table in OOC (including wins over Indiana and Butler) and had an RPI around 8 going into Valley play. Then finished tied for 9th and 10th in the Valley with a 4-14 conference record.

High early expectations are often unrealized when the conference season rolls around. DU fans can certainly enjoy the publicity as long as it lasts.

I can think of a lot of Valley schools who have gotten new coaches and really sucked. Hope Wichatard can gain some momentum in OCC.
