I moved this post from Valley Victims to its own thread because I think it merits discussion.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wanted to see what the average RPI was from the teams we lost to this year so far and its not as bad as it looks. Its early however, but never the less, it's at least an early season measuring stick. When added together and divided, the average RPI of our losses is 86. Not too bad. In fact take a look how those losses shake out:
Losses against the top 75 RPI= 15 out of the 26
Losses against the top 50 RPI= 13 out of the 26
Losses against the top 35 RPI= 12 out of the 26
Losses against the top 25 RPI= 10 out of the 26
Losees against the top 10 RPI= 5 out of the 26
If we could just have avoided the losses to Samford (299), S Dakota St (271), Iowa (240), SEMO (220), and Monmouth (206) we would have been in sitting in excellent shape right now, but as it is its still pretty good. There is still time to get these losses back with a few quality wins, so lets go Valley!
