It hurts my eyes. Maybe it's a temporary thing, I hope so. The board needs calming colors anyway, not blood red. Also, living in Nebraska, it screams of Husker red, causing blisters on my corneas.

On the colors ... can't say I really like the red either. What we should do is make the color of the menu bars (currently red) the color of the Valley regular-season champion each year. So, this year Maroon, next year perhaps blue. At least then the colors would mean something and it would be like a mini-trophy the winner gets to carry throughout the season.

I like the new look and think that using the color of the champion the following year is a good thing, gives off some Valley spirit.

It's not the colors that bother me, it's the ads on the left of the page. I'll get used to it also. I called the company that does the advertising 2-3 months ago about possibly doing business with them. It took the guy a couple weeks to call me back. The rates they are charging are huge. I mean big time money .. really big. I don't care if there is a profit for the owner of VT but if there isn't a BIG profit then there is something wrong. When the guy called me he was in his 4th day of negotiations with GM in Detroit. Anyone have a quarter to half a mil they'd like to pony up? :lol:

Not my choice, my wife is originally from here. She thought it would be the perfect place to raise a family. While I, along with just about every red blooded male would like to say we make all the decisions, usually, we lose this one. Oh well. :noexpression:

The official colors of the Valley are red and blue. The majority of VT is still blue, but the banners are red now. I may play with the brightness of the red, but the colors will stay like this for a bit.

Believe me, I would never add colors to a site in honor of Kansas or Nebraska.
