Can someone from Creighton tell me what happened to Greg Grensing. He was an asst. at K St. Then followed DA to Creighton and was there for like 11 yrs. He then left and has been at UNLV for 3 yrs now. What happened between him and DA, was with him for so long why would he leave to take another asst. coaching job?

Grensing left to be asst. head coach under Lon Kruger at UNLV. Kruger, as you know, was Altman's mentor of sorts. Most here feel Grensing left because he didn't think Dana would leave Creighton and he wants to be a head coach. Can't fault him for that. Should be noted that Greg leaving opened the door for McKenna to come back to Creighton as an assistant and then ultimately get the Sycs job.
