This should be a fun matchup, I always like playing the Panthers. I couldn't make it to this one but I got tickets for tomorrow and Sunday, I'll be going win or lose.

Wow...not pretty, but a hard fought game by both teams. The seniors really stepped up when we needed them, and I was especially impressed by Viet tonight. Shaw also played a great game. Mullins is a smart player- realized he couldn't hit the broadside of a barn tonight, but did a good job setting up his teammates...must be nice to have a point guard! :naughty: I am a little sad to see the last Falker/ Coleman battle, as that's always fun to watch- I wish they could have avoided foul trouble and played a full game against each other. At this point, I am rooting for anyone but Drake. Ideally, Creighton, you will beat Drake tomorrow and ISU will beat UNI. Then Creighton wins tourney and we probably get 3. That is best case scenario at this point, so I am rooting for that.

I agree. The VT representation of SIU fans failed to show up for the pile-on. It was rampant on SalukiTalk though - which of course is fine and dandy - but not here.

I dunno if it was because most SIU fans didn't know the game was going on or what..

So I apologize to you and a few other rational SIU posters. I don't mean to group you guys altogether.

I admit I go over the top sometimes. You've probably missed a lot of the past, so you really don't know the history behind everything.

I also admit I've grouped several SIU fans who have enchanted this board with the rest of SalukiNation. That I apologize for. Whenever I get the chance to roam around SalukiTalk though, the sediments are all pretty much the same. Hate, jealousy, and paranoia. Not from all, but from a lot. That's the sad thing.. That's why it's hard to not dislike anything associated with Carbonslum or dale or whatever.

I know this isn't really relating since WSU hadn't been to a billion NCAA immediately before thier 3 NIT's the played in a few years back. The home games were great great fun. Also tell me you wouldn't enjoy seeing SIU in NewYork for the NIT final four. It beats a stick in your eye and at least your team is still playing.

I'm not sure SIU will see an NIT bid and when word gets out on how injured Mullins is, I'm not sure what SIU could do in a postseason game against anyone.

Losing 2 of 3 to UNI speaks volumes about this season. SIU did not have a lot to work with this season, did not have many gamers, did not have a team to fit Lowery's style of play (he is a stubborn coach who deserves criticism for not being able to adapt to other styles to fit a lack of depth) and its been a pretty long, rough season. The schedule was difficult. SIU would of been clobbered by ISU today and I don't think Mullins could of played.
