Game starts in about one hour.. anyone think UNI has a chance to win? With Coleman heating up the last few games I think anything is possible.

I think it will be a double digit victory for the Redbirds.

yeah the redbirds are cruising right now. They have been shooting lights out the 1st half. I hope uni can come back and at least make it interesting.

UNI looks terrible. Lucky their are not down any further than what they are at the half. An ISU win (which is highly likely) should get them to the NCAA reagrdless of how they do against Drake.

Wow, quite the mismatch. You'd have a hard time convincing a casual observer that UNI won a month ago.

ISU's defense has UNI totally out of cync.

UNI looks tired - coming off an emotional/exhausting win last nite might be catching up with them. Still 2nd half is wide open (ISU has blown some big leads over the year so while I feel good with a 15 pt lead, we've got to keep the pressure on UNI) UNI has to cut down on their TOs (11 in the first half - ouch)

I'd say UNI's gotta pull something outta their butts soon - Birds up 11 with 3 minutes left.

O hits a 3 from 27 feet out - bye bye Panthers

well, you can focus on defense, thats all well and good, but if you can't put the ball in the hoops it doesn't matter anyway.

No ball handlers on the Panther team really hurt in this game also.

Congrats to the Redbirds.

I still think the Panthers will pull out an NIT bid with Creighton and SIU and perhaps BU

I doubt it, maybe that new one but I doubt that also. This game should lock up an NCAA bid for the Redbirds. Both Illinois State and Drake should represent the MVC well.

UNI refused to take shots when they were open. They either are poorly coached or overly coached. I just got to the hotel from the game. Watching UNI's lack of offense is like watching paint dry.

The lack of a point guard probably cost us 5 wins this year.

Travis Brown is a head case, only one more year...

Adam Viet is the worst player in the league, thank god he is gone.

We are going to be pretty salty next year, going to be great to have a point guard...

still sticking with this? He had the two biggest plays of the season for UNI. Just yesterday he had 19 points to help get past SIU. One of only a couple guards that had more assists than turnovers. Worst player in the valley? thats rediculous... Hes not even close to being the worst player on UNI.

I agree with the rest of your points, though.

I may be a little over the top, but when he is not shooting well, he doesn't have a ton of value...

I think we will miss him the least of the 3 seniors that played....

yeah, I can agree with that.

We don't have a returning true three point threat though which could cause problems. Brown seems to be stuck in his Freshman year going into his senior one, Dunham is much better going to the hoop than shooting from the perimeter. Hopefully Ali Farokhmanesh and John Moran can provide that along with Reed gaining and keeping his confidence (along with his health).

We will have Farokhmanesh, Moran, and Ahelegbe at PG next year. Jacobson has to be giddy when comparing it to this year.
