WSU dominates MVC Golf Tournament

DAVENPORT, Iowa - The Wichita State men's golf team put the finishing touches on a dominant performance at the 2008 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Championship, which concluded Tuesday at the Davenport Country Club in Davenport, Iowa. The Shockers won the tournament by 24 strokes over second-placed Southern Illinois.

The only senior on the roster (Spears) managed a tie for 4th place, while a Shocker sophomore (McHenry) finished 4 strokes ahead of........another Shocker sophomore (Garza) to claim individual honors.

Golf looks pretty good at WSU for the foreseeable future.
