NCAA track regionals....

the NCAA track regionals get underway this weekend, the top 5 individuals and top 3 relay teams from each regional qualify for the NCAA meet in Des Moines in June.

9 Indiana State athletes qualified for the Mideast meet at Arkansas, the link for live results is here

for the Indiana State men:

Sean Wright was 11th in the 400 in 47.22 and 24th in the 200 in 21.25, Gary Ogburn was 28th in the 200 in 21.77

SIU is in 10th place with 8 points too.

ISU blue's Steve Daniel sets an ISU school record in the triple jump and qualifies for the NCAA meet in Des Moines with a 4th place finish today.

Both SIU and ISU blue are sending athletes to the meet in Des Moines.

UNI and WSU are sending athletes to the NCAA meet from the Midwest regional too.

the MVC qualifies 20 for the NCAA championships, with possibly more being selected for at-large bids too. At-large bids should be announced soon too.
