Offseason Tidbits.

I figured that since ValleyTalk has been so dead lately that I'd start a thread with no topic, and anyone can say whatever they want about where the Valley or their team is right now, no holds barred. Random stuff. From there, we'll see where the conversation goes.

I'll start us off:

I think Orupke is set up to be the biggest bust in WSU recruiting history.

Drake lost one player from last season's team and one recruit. Both are examples of addition by subtraction. Neither figured to ever play much and now the scholarships are freed up to give to better players.

Drake also picked up a transfer from Arkansas State (Ryan Wedel) who averaged 17 ppg per game this past season at ASU and was 3rd-team All-Sunbelt Conference. He made ESPN Sportscenter in high school when he scored 25 points in 2 minutes.

I'm having trouble understanding why, with our recruiting class, we are still being picked 8th and 9th in the predictions thread. I can promise we will be better than last year. We'll trade early season losses for late season wins.

I'd be very surprised if the MVC would not get at least two NCAA bids next season. Talent level and returning players seem to be much stronger than last year.

Bold prediction: UE does not finish last this season! :clap: Some Valley schools will be askiing for the scalp of their head coach when Evansivlle upsets their team. :ranting:

Another prediction: The MVC champion will have at least 5 conferences losses.

Bears recruited Wedel, he's a solid little player, but I had my doubts he'd be able to cut it at this level at the time. He sure fared well for ASU though...

Thanks for the effort there MVJ, but if Baller wanted his post read by me, he should have thought about that a long time ago in his approach towards me.

I think if you took a poll of posters, most would agree the board is a lot more tolerable now, since I put baller on ignore. The constant bickering, and his following me around from thread to thread was causing a vastly deteriorating board.

I was not innocent in that, I know, but I took the steps necessary to put a stop to it. I think for the most part, people are happy I did. If people truly desire to see me and baller bicker like we did a few months ago, I can change my ignore setting, but it's going to take a large number of people to convince me to do so.
