When I heard the MVC chant I knew that Bradley University had the crowd on its side.

I'm happy, but I'm still angry. It just goes to show truly how much the NCAA screwed MSU and CU.
If Elgin has any sense, he'll be starting an all-out bidding war for next year's TV rights. The least this conference should have next year is a weekly prime-time game on ESPN. The *least*.

Judging by some of his quotes to the media, he might be just as angry as you, Nyghtwynd...

Chills were running down my spine off and on the entire 2nd half.
I heard that "MVC" chant on television, loud and clear in the background as Raftery and Lundquist were singing the praises of this Bradley ball club.
Did Doug Elgin join the crowd at Auburn Hills today? I certainly hope he could make it. That guy's been one partyin' dude lately.

Agreed, Nyghtewynd. This is great for the teams that made it and only bolsters the case of the teams that got screwed.
I know there was talk with CBS before of getting regular season broadcasts? I'd say we're getting more and more leverage on that now. This is the golden opportunity to bolster our TV contracts with our 3 contractual partners, CBS, ESPN and FSN. We need to take full advantage.

The only problem is getting ANYONE to play any of us now for a TV game! UNI/Iowa would be a good candidate, as would SIU/Indiana. Anyone else have a good game for TV next year? You thought scheduling was tough before...

Why do Littlepage and the selection committee get a pass? There were only six at large bids that did not go to the "HAVES" while eight is the usual number (if I am recalling correctly). We need more heat on the NCAA; CU & MSU got screwed!

As a CU fan, it is nice to hear all the support from the rest of the conference that Missouri State and CU should have still gotten a bid. We just need to make the best of what we do have and hopefully keep winning in the NIT.
I am really proud of this conference...we are showing everyone that we are a competitive conference (seriously our games against each other have been closer than the NCAA tourney games) and that we can play with the best of them out there. I think we have really great teams and fans--I'm thoroughly enjoying the Valley love and the support for each team right now. Hearing the MVC chants on TV was very nice...You don't ever hear crowds chanting Big 12 or ACC when a team has won a game.
So congrats to WSU and Bradley and good luck!

You can thank the Bradley fans for the MVC chant! It was coming directly from the Bradley section which was right behind the CBS announcers. What a great day for Bradley and the Valley!!
I heard there were over 1,000 people waiting to greet the Braves as they arrived back from Detroit earlier this evening. I was still driving back from Detroit at the time. What a great weekend of basketball!!
