yeah, i don't care to much for predictions anymore...we wernt predicted to win the first 2 games (by ESPN)...so i would rather them pick GMU.

Coach Turgeon will make adjustments. Here's how I see the game.....generally, George Mason will be hard-pressed to equate its 60-plus % 2nd half shooting.

Digger and Lavin went with Mason over the Shox in their predictions.

Can the Shockers repeat its second half 67% shooting, which it shot against Tenn, against G. Mason?

This is basically a home game for George Mason, so it would be easy to predict a Mason "W". The MCI center is practically in their back yard. Go Shox!

How many fans show up to regular Mason games? WSU has sold 1250 tickets already...I've had 4 calls this morning from people hoping I can get them tickets somehow... WSU fans will be there, however I'm sure we'll be out numbered.

WSU fans were outnumbered by Tennessee fans as well. No matter how close it is to the GMU campus, it'll be a neutral atmosphere. GMU averages around 4,000 a game for their regular season. Even if they pick up a few bandwagoners, that's all they'll be is bandwagon - fairweather fans.

Keep in mind that almost all the tickets were sold ahead of time before people even knew who would be in the tournament, let alone in the regional games. Some of the people who bought tickets blindly are probably mason fans, but probably not most of them. I believe that the allotment given to each school is the same, so if we sell all of our tickets, we won't be too far behind. The trick is getting the Uconn and washingto fans to root for us--this will be hard since mason is the lower seed though.

The trick will be to stop the give and go play with Jai Lewis and limit the outside shots by Skinn, Butler, and Campell.

And not turn it over.

Congrats on the Sweet 16 run, keep it going this week. Beat Mason!!!!!

An MVC Elite 8 appearance would be insane! I'm confidant the Shockers will pull this one off, and man will it be awesome to see.

I have quite a bit of confidence about this game.. much more than I had for the SHU or T games. When GMU came to Wichita they were playing for a spot in the dance. That bracket buster game was going to make or break their season. They pulled out all the stops and I'm sure ran all their plays. That being said, MT knew that this game was important but it surely wouldn't make or break our season. Mark has mentioned numerous times on coaches shows that he doesn't like to "show" all his tricks and always keeps "secret plays" for special times. We surely saw all that GMU had to offer but they didn't see all of us. We were just coming off several overtime games and looked tired the entire night. Most Shocker fans graded that game as a C game for us. I can assure you the Shockers will be bringing their A game to D.C.

GMU is a very solid team but at this point, the Shocker train is rollin' and I smell destiny. The game could be uneventful unless Tony Skinn starts punching people in the grapes again..

I think this is going to be a very difficult game for WSU. George Mason reminds me a lot of Bradley, very athletic, they have a quickness advantage over WSU and they have a dominating big man in the middle. In the game at Wichita they could not stop Lewis and when they doubled him down low GM lit up WSU from the outside. This is a very good team, today on Rome Turgeon said they were the best team they faced this season including Michigan State and Illinois. I really do not think it being played in DC is even a factor, I hope the Shocks go get this one but it is going to be difficult. I think George Mason is a better team than either Seton Hall or Tennessee.

When we played them in Wichita, their fans, that watched the game on ESPN, said it was the best, hardest played game they had ever seen their Patriots play. The consensus from Shocker fans was that it was about a C game for us... we lost by 3. In that game Sean Ogirri had 6 points and P.J. had 7... they couldn't hit the broad side of a barn that night. However, everything Jai Lewis touched turned to gold. That big butterball was even 2 for 2 from behind the arc.

And this is why the games are played!

If P.J. plays like he did against Tennessee, WSU should be in good shape regardless of how GMU plays.

And there is no sense of urgency for George Mason in this game?
