Lot of talk up here about TV packages for both Creighton and NU baseball. Nebraska has had baseball broadcasts on NETV, Nebraska Public TV, for something like 25 years to varying degrees. This season, they went to a cable only pay package, which is only going to be on in Omaha and Lincoln. Lot of kvetching about that.

However, Lincoln's loss is Creighton's gain. Creighton signed a 3 game contract with NETV this season to do the WSU and Nebraska games at Rosenblatt. Granted, it's not many, but it's setting the groundwork for future dealing with the network. Especially when the new ballpark comes in, then we should really be able to take advantage.

NETV will broadcast all three games to a statewide audience on broadcast television, all three games will be simulcast nationally on CSTV and they'll be shown (at least in Nebraska) in HDTV. All very nice.

Any TV is a plus.

Getting national TV exposure on CSTV is even better.

Hopefully UNL will keep their cable pay TV package for a very long time.:valley:
