No not for the CWS, but for the CU-WSU series. I will be at Friday's game. Just seeing if anyone wants to buy me a beer. Or two.

DaShox my wife is out of town.

Mrs. outpost is getting her hair done....lame.....

But my son also has his initial track meet of the season, scheduled to run in the 4x800. This meet is in Winfield, about an hour south of Wichita. gotta be there for him.

Doubt that anyone from the outpost family will be there :ermm: :ermm:

Shox have lost 4 of 5 and are batting a blustery .198 in those five games with a total of 4 extra base hits. Should be a CU sweep this weekend. And, no I won't be partaking in those festivities. Will watch the Friday game on TV here in DooDah though.

My prediction for the WSU-CU series...CU takes 2 out of 3. Jays take the first, Shox take the 2nd and Jays win a wild one in the 3rd.

Creighton got shut out in two of three games last weekend, once by a freshman. Is it possible to go an entire weekend without anyone scoring?

Must have had a good St. Patrick's Day Outpost.

What is the tonight attendance at Johnny Rosenblatt?

Yikes ... that was absolutely pathetic ... This is the worst stretch of Shocker baseball I've ever experienced. We better get it together or we're going to be in freefall.

Sorry, Blue, no Omaha trip this weekend. I spent a healthy chunk of my tax refund and vacation on something called the Sweet Sixteen.

Can you relate?

when was last time (if ever) sublett has blown a save?

sounded like jays had a lot of emotion showing after the win - hope they dont think the series is over

got to bring it every single pitch with the shox...

He had not given up a run of any kind in about 28 innings of work. Usually one inning at a time. Nealy a school record, and that's saying something.

yeah - he is a good one - and certainly sticks out as one of the better closers - going back to jamie bluma

jays can't expect to win games like that much against shox - although i like that they gutted out a tough one with a very subpar showing with runners on base...

going to need some more offensive production

another one tomorrow

Was it a blown save? The run scored on an error by Gillaspie so it was an unearned run.

OK, the Bud Light has worn off so I am capable of typing again. OWH says attenedance was 1676. Not bad for as cold as it was.

Thought it was funny all of the Omaha-Wichita connections in the game. OWH did an article on Millard North grad Gillaspie on Friday. It mentioned how Gene is really hard on players. Yet he was praising Connor's play so far this year. Gillaspie responds by going 0-4 and making a stupid throwing error alllowing CU to tie it in the 9th.
Winning run was scored by Chad Ogden. Ogden, who grew up near Wichita, scored the winning run. As he came in to score he raised both arms to give the touchdown sign and flashed "the shocker" with both hands. Classic.
Stupid play of the game was winning hit. If Hurlbutt doesn't dive for ball, and allows it to drop for a single, winning run does not score. Runner on 2nd would have stopped at 3rd. CU scored both of its runs because of stupid WSU mistakes.
Funny of night was a group of CU students all decked out in OU clothing along the 3rd base line. Couldn't hear what they were saying, but they were making some comments to Gene through out the game.
I dragged LincolnJay to I think his first CU baseball game. He is basically a basketball guy. Hopefully I have converted him. I waited and waited for Dashox and Clamdip to show to buy me a beer but they must have stayed home with ISASO and outpost.
