Those 6 players they mentioned are all gonna be immediate impact players and Illinois State will be a lot more competitive next year, their freshman will easily average 20 points a game combined.

That's great stuff, 'jay03, and bodes well for the MVC.

Maybe some Shocker fans will stop worrying about AB's stat sheet and trust the coaching staff.

It'll be strange to have a shot-blocker in the post wearing a WSU uniform.

Jordan Eglesger is going to be a monster, I hope Mac doesnt Red Shirt him. I love Grant but wow you could run Grant at PF, Jordan at C, and roll in Coleman for both. That would a dangerous trio to deal with, I think. What a great set of new comers for the Valley.

PS UNI has some great guards coming as well in Kwadzo Ahgelbe, and Adam Koch. Going to be a great Frosh Class for the Panthers

Eglesger is going to be good, who knows what UNI will do with 3 talented posts, Coleman is small maybe they move him to the 3 spot, if he creates an outside shot they could be deadly with that, if not the Panthers have a SUB off the bench in the post. Whatever happens, he will help a lot. I think Eglesger and Kenny Lawson, a Creighton recruit, will go at it for four years, trust me it will be a lot of fun to watch and by the latter half of their NCAA careers you will be watching All-MVC players.

I hope your right! I grew up loving Creighton, but went to UNI, so I like both teams as strange at that is.

In about 10 months we'll have some idea how accurate that list is.

The "way too early to matter" opinion of some WSU fans is that Butler is probably the #3 recruit coming to WSU next year. Butler projects as a 6'9" PF and a defensive specialist who may need a RS year to gain some bulk, but who knows. Maybe a "lean" 6'9" guy with some quickness and leaping ability might not need the bulk typically expected of a Center.

Chris Brown, 6'8", could get quality minutes as a FR. J.T. Durley, 6'7", could be the surprise of WSU's recruiting class. Durley's HS plays an inside/outside game with the scoring spread out among several players. Could be a natural fit into WSU's style.

Then there's Derek Brown, the walk-on from a small school. Averages 22 ppg, 8 rpg, 6 apg. Plays PG in HS. He's 6'5". It's pretty much unheard of for a school with maybe 150 students to use a 6'5" guy at PG.

Ah, Arch Madness - the first indication for fans to start talking about "next year".

It's going to be a good year to be a Shocker fan.
