ISU vs ISU this weekend

series kicks off at 7pm (EST) on Friday night, last year Ill. State swept the Sycamores in Normal, hope for payback this year.

Indiana State wins a close game one 5-4 to move to 2-2 in the MVC and 11-10 overall. Ill. State had runners at 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs, but the game ended on a pop-up.

Indiana State gets 18 hits in game 2 for a 9-1 win, now 3-2 in the MVC,
12-10 overall. Game 3 is Sunday pending the weather.

Congrats Sycs on winning a close first game and absolutely shellacking us yesterday. My hope is that we can salvage the game today and end up with a .500 conference record. We needed to get 2 wins here to keep us in good shape, but Indiana St. is a tough, scrappy team who got the job done.

Ill. St does win game 3 by an 8-2 count. they beat the rain. both teams are
3-3 in the mvc now.

After giving up 2 in the 1st inning, the Birds settled down. We had a big 2nd and coasted from their. Excellent pitching by true freshman Jim Sajewich!
